OUR OPERATING MODEL

Anyone Can
Walk A Plant.

What separates a useful review from an expensive opinion: what gets settled before the visit, what a finding must contain, and whether the person writing it can say "do nothing."

// THE PREMISE

Most Assessments Are Sold
By Whoever Sells The Fix

If the assessment is free because it qualifies you for a software sale, every finding has to point at software. Nobody is being dishonest — the structure just makes "your current setup is fine" unsayable.

So the review is priced and delivered on its own. You pay for the answer, which means the answer is allowed to be "leave it alone."

// BEFORE WE SCHEDULE

Five Things Settled First

A half-prepared visit produces a half-useful document.

  • Signed proposal and service agreement

    Scope, deliverable and dates in writing.

  • Payment and an approved travel estimate

    Travel outside Northwest Arkansas is approved before scheduling, never discovered on the invoice.

  • Completed intake: one sponsor, three workflows

    Choosing the three is the highest-leverage decision in the engagement, and we help you make it.

  • Facility access, safety and information boundaries

    Your PPE rules, escort policy, and an explicit list of anything we shouldn't see or ask about.

  • No unresolved conflict or unsupported expectation

    Resolved before a date is set, rather than discovered halfway through.

// THE DECISION STANDARD

A Finding Has One Job

It has to let you make a decision. A typical assessment is a list of conditions with an implied "and therefore you should buy something" attached.

Every finding we write carries the same eight parts. If we can't fill all eight, it doesn't go in the document. Fact, estimate and assumption stay labeled throughout.

Five findings maximum — not because there's nothing more to see, but because a thirty-item list avoids the harder work of ranking them.

Every Finding Contains

  • Observed condition and evidence

    Nothing goes in on impression alone.

  • Operational effect, without a promise

    The cost in hours, delay, rework or risk — not inflated into a savings guarantee.

  • Confidence, value, effort and risk

    Four separate judgments. A high-value finding with low confidence is a different decision than a certain small one.

  • Dependencies

    Most failed improvements fail on a dependency nobody wrote down.

  • A named owner and next action

    Findings addressed to "the company" don't get done.

// ON THE DAY

What The Visit
Looks Like

01

Safety Brief And Agenda

Your rules first: PPE, escort requirements, restricted areas. Then confirmation of the three workflows and who we're talking to.

First 20 minutes
02

Follow The Work, Not The Org Chart

We trace each workflow the way information actually travels — desk to desk, screen to paper. The workaround is the interesting part.

The bulk of the visit
03

Talk To The People Doing It

Short conversations with operators, schedulers and clerks. We're explicit that we're mapping work, not evaluating people — and we ask you to say so first, in your own words.

Throughout
04

Observe Only, Change Nothing

No logging into live systems, no scanning, no test transactions. Your line runs as if we weren't there. Anything needing system access would be separately agreed.

The whole time
05

Close Out With The Sponsor

What we saw, what we still need, and the delivery date confirmed. No conclusions on the spot — an opinion formed in the parking lot isn't worth what you paid.

// HOW IT ENDS

Five Ways To
Close An Engagement

Chosen at the findings meeting. Only one involves paying us again, and it isn't the default.

You Run With It

Your team or your existing vendors can act without us. A completely successful outcome, and a common one.

Scoped Implementation

The work is inside what we can deliver and we have the capacity. Scoped, priced and dated as its own project.

Ongoing Advisory

A technical voice for the decisions that come next. Scheduled, limited, and only where it earns its keep.

Partner Referral

Outside our competence or capacity. We'd rather refer you well than take a job we'd do badly.

Stop And Monitor

The evidence doesn't support acting yet. Watch a specific number for two quarters and revisit.

// WHAT YOU CAN HOLD US TO

Our Commitments

  • Findings within seven business days

    From the visit or from receipt of the last required information. If something will slip, you hear it before the date.

  • You always work with the principal

    The person who walks your plant writes your findings and runs the findings meeting. No handoffs.

  • Scope, price and dates before you commit

    If our calendar can't meet the date you need, you hear that in the first conversation.

  • Nothing on your floor gets touched

    Observation only during the review. Implementation work is separately agreed and disruptive steps run outside operating hours.

  • What you tell us stays with us

    Your processes, your numbers, and what your people say. Nothing published without your written permission.

  • No jargon used to end an argument

    We explain the tradeoff, the risk and the cost in language you can repeat without us in the room.

// BEING STRAIGHT WITH YOU

What We're Not
Set Up To Do

Quantech IT is not a managed services provider. No ticket queue, no help desk, nobody by a phone during your shift. If a machine is down, we're the wrong call and we'll say so immediately.

We sell scheduled work: a review with a date, findings with a deadline, implementation with a scope and price agreed up front. Responsiveness we do commit to — inquiries answered within one business day, findings within seven. Availability at short notice we don't.
